Adeleke University is a distinguished private, faith-based institution situated in Ede, Osun State, in southwestern Nigeria. Established in 2011 by renowned philanthropist Dr. Adedeji Adeleke, the university was founded under the auspices of the Springtime Development Foundation (SDF) — a non-profit organization created in 1996 to advance educational access and community development initiatives across Nigeria.

The founding vision was clear: to create a world-class university that provides accessible, high-quality higher education while fostering excellence, integrity, and transformational leadership. This vision continues to shape the institution’s philosophy and long-term strategic growth.

Set on an expansive 520-acre campus, Adeleke University offers a serene and purpose-built academic environment designed to support innovation, scholarship, and character formation. Guided by its core values of education, excellence, and character, the university has evolved from a modest beginning with a few undergraduate programmes into a comprehensive academic institution.

 Available Entry Routes

The university provides multiple pathways into undergraduate and postgraduate studies:

 Undergraduate Entry Options

UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) – For secondary school graduates.

Direct Entry (DE) – For candidates with A-Levels, OND, JUPEB, NCE, or equivalent qualifications.

JUPEB / Pre-Degree Programmes – Foundation programmes leading to 200-level admission.

Inter-University Transfers – For students transferring from recognized institutions.

Conversion Programmes – Designed for HND holders seeking degree conversion.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

Minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects (including English and Mathematics for most programmes) in WAEC, NECO, or NABTEB, obtained in not more than two sittings.

A minimum UTME score of 150, though competitive programmes (e.g., Law, Nursing Science, Medical Laboratory Science) may require higher cut-off marks.

Direct Entry candidates must present valid advanced qualifications and JAMB DE registration.

O’Level results must be uploaded to JAMB CAPS, and candidates must accept admission offers via CAPS to finalize admission.

 Postgraduate Admission

Prospective postgraduate students apply through the College of Postgraduate Studies and are required to submit:

Degree certificates (Bachelor’s/Master’s as applicable)

Academic transcripts

Referee reports

Research proposal (especially for Ph.D. programmes)

NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (for Nigerian applicants)

 Application Timeline

For the  academic session:

The admissions portal opened in June  for UTME and Direct Entry applicants.

Screening tests may be scheduled for selected programmes such as Law, Nursing Science, and Medical Laboratory Science.

Postgraduate admissions were ongoing as of August , with applications accepted across multiple disciplines.
